Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade | Book Review

January 5, 2019 by Jamie 7 Comments

There’s some genres, I must admit, I pre-judge before even opening the book. I admit, this is a bad reading habit. This has nothing to do with the writers or publishing houses, this is strictly on Jamie. One of the many awesome reasons I love the INSPYs though, is it forces me to read genres I don’t normally read. I truly am thankful for that! So to say I was pleasantly surprised by Becky Wade’s Meant to Be Mine is a bit of an understatement.

After a whirlwind romance, Celia and Ty marry at a Las Vegas chapel—and awake to a cold reality. An itinerant bull rider, Ty’s not ready to settle down. Five years later, he returns to Celia, who’s raising a daughter he never knew he had. How much will he sacrifice to prove to Celia that he loves her?

What I appreciated most about the story of Celia and Ty was that it was real. The mistakes they made, the people they were and became weren’t unrealistic or over dramatic. It was simply how life can sometimes be. Maybe it’s because I could relate to Celia, but her feelings, actions and journey were one I know many can relate to and be encouraged by.

A fabulous and entertaining story of the mistakes, the lessons and forgiveness we find in life

Plus with a fun cast of characters, this story is enjoyable, encouraging and reminder how God can use and redeem our past choices – both good ones and bad ones.

Have you read any of Becky Wade’s books? What’s something you’ve seen God redeem in your life?

I don’t read much contemporary romance, but Becky Wade is one author I will read (along with Melissa Tagg). Her’s are good!

Yay for fellow fans! This book definitely shows why too – I need to check out her other ones 🙂
