Lynn Austin has been a favorite author of mine since I read the Chronicles of the Kings series. And Fire by Night? Amazing read, easily in my all time favorites. She is one of those authors I don’t need to really know what the book is about, I’ll probably read it anyway. Thus bringing me to Wonderland Creek. It’s a story about a girl who reads too much (wha??), preferring the world of books and fiction, ignoring the real world. She’s soon given the opportunity to deliver books to a poor area in Kentucky (the story takes place during the depression) and when she does, her world opens up adventure, real life, real love and faith. Did I enjoy it? Of course! Especially since there were so many references to classic stories and novels. Once again Lynn Austin did not disappoint.
I just hope I’m not like she was at the beginning on the book. But I mean, Mr. Darcy is really out there right? RIGHT??
I kid folks, I kid. I know Mr. Darcy doesn’t exist, nor am I waiting for him.
